About DPS
Depth Psychology Seminars offers seminars, workshops, and an on-line resource for learning about the rich tradition which began with Dr. Carl Jung in the early 1900’s. Dr. Jung believed that psyche always urges us toward our wholeness and that the study of the unconscious is the foundation for this journey.
The broad canvas of Jungian thought offers a practical and down-to-earth approach to the human psyche. Many of its principles can be used in an eclectic psychotherapy orientation or by individuals in their personal search for meaning and understanding.
This search for meaning is a universal one. Resolution of our distress and the discovery of richer meaning in our lives are profoundly connected with our courage to go within, to integrate the many opposing tensions, and thereby to unleash our true creative potential. As Jungian-oriented psychologists, we utilize personal stories, dreams, myths, and the images and symbols within them as powerful guides. These amplify our conscious awareness and enable us to integrate aspects of our deeper selves. They also help us to recognize how we are shaped by the narratives of our culture. Perhaps most importantly, they reconnect us with ourselves, with others, and with the deepest, most meaningful human truths.
Depth Psychology Seminars came into being from our search to find ways to help a broader group of people to live more deeply and more fully. Our purpose is to teach and to share our experiences and therapeutic philosophy with any person who wants to gain a deeper understanding of ways to achieve personal healing and growth in their journey toward wholeness.
We offer seminars, workshops, and retreats with a single focus – – – to engage the participants in the search for meaning and wholeness for themselves and for those with whom they may work towards those goals. This website is meant to be a resource for those interested in learning more about Depth Psychology and its application to our everyday lives. Watch for articles from leading practitioners as
